Women's Craft Collective

About the Project

The Craft Collective empowers women by honing their skills in traditional crafts like basket weaving, beadwork, and tailoring. We provide the raw materials, tools, and expert-led training.

The program also focuses on financial literacy and marketing, helping members to price their goods competitively and access broader markets, turning their skills into a sustainable business.

Our Goals

  • Equip 100 women with marketable artisan skills.
  • Facilitate access to local and tourist markets.
  • Foster a self-sustaining cooperative business model.

Key Outcomes

  • The collective now produces over 50 different types of handcrafted items.
  • Partnered with 3 tourist lodges to sell crafts, boosting income by 60%.
  • Formed a registered cooperative with 75 active members.
